Our mission is to EDUCATE & EMPOWER youth on factors that make them vulnerable to being trafficked.
(YAP) is a program led by youth to bring awareness to one another on topics relating to human trafficking and social issues teens experience today.
STRATEGY To provide youth with a safe space to talk about everything that impact them in today’s world. No Judgement, No Shame, No Disrespect!
As part of YAP we host Workshops, participate in Community Outreach events filled with Music, Creativity Food, Games, Prizes.
Hi, I am Brittani Johnson, the Program Coordinator of the Youth Ambassador Program. I am a proud Compton native and adrenaline junky who loves outdoor activities. But ultimately, my passion for bringing awareness of human trafficking to our youth is my number one priority. Our youth deserve the opportunity to build healthy friendships and lives without the stain of trauma and dysfunction. YAP provides youth with that opportunity.I received my Bachelors in Sociology and Masters of Social Work degrees. All glory to God for His hand over this program and the impact we will continue to make in the lives of young men and women all over the world!
Hi, I am Ashley Burrus, the Program Facilitator of the Youth Ambassador Program. I am a proud LA native and lifelong helper for the communities I serve. I have worked with victims of assault, youth from various walks of life and families navigating healing. I love combining my passion for helping our youth and our worlds need for safe places for education and awareness lead to joining the YAP team. Raising awareness of human trafficking to our youth is my number one priority. Our youth deserve the opportunity to build healthy friendships and lives without the stain of trauma and dysfunction.
